Crazy Crafters Team Highlights

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd join in with this weeks team highlights. Since the new stampin' blends arrived I've been madly colouring! I really love the rich colours and the dark and light shade for beautiful blending. These markers blend beautifully because they are alcohol markers!

I store my markers in 2 dvd cases that lay flat on my shelf so the ink remains even and doesn't run.

So here are the 2 projects I've been working on. I used the rose wonder stamp set as it's a very large image and perfect for colouring. I also used memento black in for the outline as this ink does not run when working with the stampin blends. I used old olive for the leaves in both cards and some of the new foil snowflakes as the background in card 1. For card 2 i used the burlap ribbon.
For the rose in card 1 i used rich razzleberry and for card 2 i used calypso coral.

These markers are amazing to blend with. They will be available from November.

The new stamp set 'color me happy' is also great to stamp and colour with the new markers.  Here are a few samples i made with this set.
And here are some more examples of blending using some older sets.

Thanks for visiting today. I hope I've inspired you to get colouring with the new stampin' blends and don't forget to vote.

  3. Hello, Louise, Wow you have busy with the Stampin' Blends,I dare say you love them. I am very pleased with how they blend and you can use a lighter colour on top of a dark colour for a different shading or highlight look.I cannot say which is a favourite as they are all great images and the colours you have picked make the look even better. You have done a wonderful job Louise, sorry I could't get the time to play along this week but life throws curved balls to us all. Hopefully get to blog along side with you soon.
