80th Birthday Card

Hi and welcome back to my blog.

Today I am sharing a gorgeous 80th birthday card I was commissioned to create for a fellow work colleague.

The brief was: green, environmental, gardens, flowers

Here is what I came up with.

I created a pot using some cardstock I had run through the bigshot with a textured plate. I then used a few different flower stamp sets to create a bunch of flowers growing out of the pot.
Oh So Eclectic and Framelits
Climbing Orchid and Framelits
Botanical Builders Framelits  (retired)
Happy Birthday thinlit

I also used the NEW Stampin' Blends to colour in the flowers.

Inside the card I continued to flowers and cut out the numbers 80 with my big shot number thin lits.

Thanks for stopping by today to see my latest creation.  If you liked this card, don't forget you can click on the link below to vote for this card in the Crazy Crafter's Weekly Highlights. Follow the link below

What Will You Stamp: Magical Day Stamp Set

Hi and welcome to my blog.

Today I'm joining in with #WWYS156 and sharing my project with the Crazy Crafter's Project Highlights.

I'm excited to share my card this week as I absolutely love this stamp set and matching framelits.

Here is the card i created:

I used white heat embossing powder to create the images filling them with colour using ink and sponges in Wisteria Wonder and Blushing Bride.

I used the stitched framelits to create backgrounds for both images in Soft Sky cardstock.

I cut the mermaid and unicorn using  the matching framelits and cut a second image using silver glimmer cardstock for double mounting the images. Stampin mini dimensionals were used to attach the pieces onto the card in soft sky.

The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed with whisper white and sponged with Pool Party ink. This was also attached to the base of the card with stampin' dimensionals. The card base colour is Rich Razzleberry cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card. I hope this card inspires you to pull out this set and get creating. If you don't have this, then contact me to find out how you can purchase it.

Free Sale-a-Bration stamps!

Hi, and welcome back to my blog.

Today I have been playing with 3 new sets that you can't actually purchase. They are all free stamp sets you can choose from the Sale-a-bration catalogue when you purchase $90 of product or more. They are all super cute and work well together on this birthday card. The three sets are "Amazing You", "Party Panda" and "Happy Wishes"!

My inspiration for this card came from a fellow Crazy Crafter, Carolina Evans. I decided to CASE her idea of cropping the pandas with a circle punch and colouring the background with ink and sponges. I also loved how one of her pandas was juggling with the new sequins too.

Here is the card I created using all 3 of these (must have) sets.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop - Sale-a-bration and Occasions

Hi and welcome back to my blog.

Today the Crazy Crafters have got together to show case some new sets and products from the Occasions catalogue and Sale -a-brations catalogue. Make sure you check out all the amazing creations by the team. I guarantee you will be inspired to create something yourself!!

The card I created for this hop uses a set from the new Occasions catalogue, titled "Fortunate to Know You".

I have played with this set heaps and stumbled across a card by American demo, Tami White. It was sooo gorgeous I decided to case it.

I stamped the images using memento black ink. I coloured the images using the new Stampin' Blends to create some depth on the cute fortune cookies and the little love heart. I seriously love this set!! I was able to use the blends to also create a slight shadow below the box and fortune cookies. Not sure if you can really see it from the photograph but it definitely adds depth to the images and helps them to look like they are really sitting on a surface (rather then just floating around on the white space). To do this technique I used the Stampin' Blends lifter pen, pictured below. This pen helps to lighten up colours or even erase mistakes with the colours if you go over a line (for example). In this instance, i used the pen in a different way. I used the smokey slate (dark) pen to colour the end of the lifter pen, then quickly colour below the chinese take out box, chopsticks and the fortune cookies. Like I said, the effect is subtle but effective. This technique ensured the colour was ever so slight and not too dark below the images.

For the heart, I coloured using the dark and light Calypso Coral
and for the cookies I used Daffodil Delight (light and dark) to create the tone.
The chopsticks were coloured using Cherry Cobbler, dark and light
Finally, I used the Pool Party dark and light Stampin' Blends to colour the sentiment (top right).
This card was really easy and simple to make and it was great to be able to use the blends once again to play.

Crazy Crafter's Weekly Highlights - Sweet Little Something

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog.

It is that time of the year that every Stampin' Up! demo loves. "Sale-a-Bration"!.

Yes, probably the best time of the year to join SU as you get so many extras and freebies (who doesn't like getting stuff for free- especially when it's crafting supplies).

So, I have a couple of favourites from the new Occasions catalogue and I have been playing with them heaps. I absolutely love the new set called "Sweet Little Something". It's a 3 step stamp and produces the most cute bunny. Perfect for Easter cards or baby cards :)

Now isn't it adorable - I absolutely fell in love with this set when I saw it - and of course had to have it. I have played with different colours and the effects are pretty cute.

So without further ado, here are the cards I made using this cute set.

I love this cute bunny, it looks really adorable using pumpkin pie as one of the three colours in this card. The little flowers in the background are also adorable and come in 3 sizes to create this sweet background.

Dabbling with new SU products!

Hi everyone, for those of you who are not demonstrators you may not have seen some of these awesome new stamp sets.

I made a couple of new cards using these cool sets.

The cute red lantern was created using the new "color me happy" stamp set. I coloured it using the new blendabilities. The fortune cookies, Chinese take away box, and chopsticks were from a new stamp set which will be available in the new 2018 Occassions catalogue.  It is called 'Fortune to Know You". This set is adorable and has sweet sentiments to accompany it.

There are so many amazing new free sets you can redeem for every $90 you spend with saleabration just around the corner too! A very exciting time to join SU if you have been on the fence about whether to join. Who wouldn't want to join now and order these goodies before 2018!!! If you live in Australia contact me to find out how.

Well, signing off for now.

Happy stamping!
